Learning is a choice. Either a peaceful battle or a tough one.

For the second quarter, I discovered more about myself and my classmates, especially in terms of our strengths and the areas where we struggle in school. While I didn’t master time management, I still managed to accomplish my tasks fairly well (or so I believe). I faced challenges in understanding lessons in math and basic electronics, but I found our ICT lessons relatively easy, particularly the activities we completed. So far, ICT has been my best-performing subject, with my highest score yet.

After lunch, I often reflect on how much I enjoy attending our ICT class. I not only have fun but also learn new skills, like writing code and using HTML tags. For example:

  • <br>creates a line break,
  • <hr> inserts a horizontal line,
  • <p> identifies a paragraph,
  • <u> underlines text,
  • <i> italicizes text,
  • <b> makes text bold,
  • <h1> creates the largest heading,
  • <strong> works like <b> but emphasizes importance,
  • <table> defines a table,
  • <tr> creates a table row, and
  • <td> specifies a table cell.

These tags, along with many others, made coding enjoyable and rewarding for me.

To address my struggle with time management, I devised a better strategy by setting priorities and breaking big tasks into smaller, manageable steps. When faced with confusion or doubt, I reached out to classmates, teachers, parents, and even relatives for guidance. I also allowed myself to take short breaks when working on multiple tasks, which helped me stay focused and energized. Additionally, I embraced new learning techniques, experimenting with different approaches to find what worked best for me.

Moving forward, I aim to gradually refine my time management skills to improve productivity without overwhelming myself. I also plan to be more proactive in seeking help whenever I encounter difficulties. Regular self-checks will help me identify habits that need improvement, and I’ll work on managing failures better to maintain a positive outlook. By doing so, I hope to achieve even greater progress in the next quarter.
